My name is Todd Christian and I am your candidate for State House of Representatives here in District 40. As a child growing up in Virginia, I watched my father work for the United Mine Workers of America for over 40 years. My mother stayed home to help raise my four brothers, sister, and myself. In order to help my family, I began working as a Junior Fire Fighter and Emergency Medical Technician when I was 15 years old.
A few years later, I enlisted in the United States Navy and became a Seabee. I served my Country from May 1989 to May 1993. During my time in the Navy, I served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and received four medals. After my active duty was done, I decided to continue to serve on reserve duty for the next four years.
After my tour of service, I went to college to further my education. I received my Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Radford University in 1997. I continued on with my education and in 1999 I received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Finance.
As your next State House Representative, I will use my education, my service to our Country, and my family values to better our State.
